Walnut Parmesan Topping

Walnut Parmesan Topping

This is an excellent sauce for green beans, It also goes well over pork chops. Walnuts are rich in omega3 fatty acids, benevolent fats that combat heart disease. They are one of the few plants in which these fats occur.

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped well in a food processor or blender
1/4 cup Parmesan or Romano cheese, grated
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 Tablespoon butter, melted or softened.

Mix all ingredients well and mix with boiled, drained green beans or serve on top of pork chops.
