Teriyaki Sauce

Stir fry works best if you choose one meat or fish, one kind of mushrooms, one or more crunchy vegetables and one or more type of onion. But don’t throw too many different things together. It is a good way to clean out little bits of this and that out of the fridge or use up some leftovers.
Serve the stir fry either with rice or Oriental noodles.

Quarter the vegetables
Marinate the vegetables with the marinade for about 15 mins.
Stir fry in olive oil until just tender

Teriyaki Marinade
1/2 c olive oil
1 c soy sauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar or molasses ( I prefer molasses )
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
2 tbsp. red wine

Mix well, will keep chilled and covered for several weeks

Teri – means luster or shine
Yaki – means grill or broil
