Herself’s Recipes

1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
2 large eqqs
3/4 cup milk
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cardamon
1 cup raisins

Mix all ingredients well, taking care not to over beat
Pour into 2 greased round cake pans
bake at 350 until knife inserted into center comes out clean

This is one of about 2 dozen hand written recipes left in a recipe box by my Grandmother.
